Admitted to Stanford University…I spent $2000 in applications. It was well worth it. – Interview advice: a lot of interviews are temperature checks (are you a normal person). Come prepared with specifics about each law school (classes, professors, clinics) that excite you and make you want to attend them. Do a few practice interviews with…
…yourself time to come back to them with fresh eyes! For interview preparation, I kept it simple. I reviewed questions that other applicants reported they had been asked or that the law school provided in advance, wrote out some possible answers to start thinking it through and two or three questions I had about the…

For me, Harvard interview was more direct, more formal, and less friendly than the Chicago interview. For HLS, I would prepare thoroughly and be prepared to give a strong “why law school?” answer…

…of my HLS R, I got that after what I thought was a great interview and having already been accepted to SLS, but it still really hurt and threw me threw a loop. Not shocked about my UCLA WL I knew I should’ve sent in a LOCI or applied for Achievement Fellowship, but out of the options I have available I likely…

Also helped me figure out why I…
Wrote every optional essay possible and a Why X to avoid YP outside the T6. Did not write any DS. If you get an HLS interview, make sure you’re really jazzed and emphasize that it’s your first choice. That’s what I think got me WL’ed, since my interview otherwise went really well.
Average softs: some leadership and research; 🏳️🌈(but I feel weird about it making me T3?) …time. Softs really can move the needle. On that note, my interviews were far from ideal and I did notice typos on my apps afterwards, but it worked out. It’s really important to come off authentic and personable to admissions
…It also really helps you formulate a “Why X” essay/interview answer Don’t sacrifice your application quality in the name of applying early.
