2E2EDDBBTT's wisdom
I communicated with GW Law since early January and they knew my background and data, and I submitted my application by the end of January. I sent one thank you letter for a reason, telling that I would not apply to other schools until mid-Feb & telling that I like GW in early Feb as well as LOCI in Mid-March. I was still rejected and could not even be placed on the waitlist after seven weeks. I would say that if GW Law never likes my Stat and Background, the decision could be given to me earlier. GW is one of my top choices and I got rejected after many many many conversations. So sad. Since I would love to attend this school, I had sent emails for reconsideration and for part-time program consideration for admissions. March 28. Updated: GW Law will reconsider my application in June. April 26. Reconsideration: R me again. I WILL ASK GW AGAIN FOR RECONSIDERATION IN JUNE. GW R me Again in June. Thank you GW R me 3 times a cycle.
Thanks to NYU Law because it rejected me when there was no wave, so I did not need to take more time to wait. This might indicate that the officers did not even want to look at my application, perhaps due to my low GPA.
Washington & Lee and UFlorida rejected me within a second I believed so, perhaps they just do not really have a good percentage of Asian JD candidates at their schools. UFlorida reconsidered my application and I still cannot gain admission on April 7.
WashU rejected me and I believed that they took several days for making the decision. I have no regret. Thanks for WashU Law’s prompt rejection and thorough consideration. I knew that WashU Law has already accepted too many people before March, so the seats are competitive and almost full. They might reconsider my application as they received my request.
Harvard rejected me for certainty. I just tried to apply to HLS!
Thanks to the University of Georgia Law that it placed me on the waiting list! UGA read my application on the weekend and informed me the next Monday morning that I was informed that I’ve been selected to be on the waiting list. I would love this school’s decision. Feel grateful to UGA Law for its decision and I would be happy to attend if no other options become available. UGA WL-> R on June 7.
March 27, 2023. George Mason Scalia Law placed me on the waitlist! Sent LOCI on March 29 and May 1. + 4 Letters of Recommendation
Boston University and Boston College REJECTED me on the same date! March 30.
Cardozo WL me on March 30.
Applied to Pepperdine, Suffolk (two-year), Seton Hall, Brooklyn on March 31.
Northeastern R me. April 7. Unexpectedly. They are so rude and impolite (Just my feeling.).
Berkeley R me. April 10. My question: Does Berk really holistically review applicants?
GTOWN R me. April 14. They gave me two exceptions, (1) made me eligible to apply; (2) allowed me to switch from RD to ED. They should give me a decision before the end of March under ED, but they finally rejected me on April 14. GTown did not follow ED’s 4-week timeframe and rejected me in the 8th week. Reconsideration Request is in June.
Applied to UMiami, St. John’s, and BYU, temple.
Fordham R me. April 26. Reconsideration in August.
Suffolk R me. April 27.
USC and NU finally R me.
I missed St.John’s meeting with Director twice, and I got R the following week.
UMiami does not want me live near the beach so I got R.
————————Seton Hall Law School Accepted me with an okay amount of scholarship. May 12. I ASKED THEM TO EXTEND THE DEPOSIT DEADLINE TO LATER JUNE AND INCREASE THE SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT TO 40K, the maximum amount. WAITING FOR RESULTS.
Brooklyn Law School WL me. OK. How can I consider you? Unless you give me a Full Ride or a great amount of scholarship. Sent LOCI for budgetary purposes by showing Seton Hall Law acceptance.
Temple WL me June 07.
Paid Seton Hall Law Deposit, 30k yearly non-conditional scholarship, on June 15. I never want to go to NYC/NJ for law school attendance. I want to go to D.C. for law school.
Pepperdine WL me on June 20.
George Mason Interviewed me on late June with Dean Huffman. Why Scalia and what is my current plan? August 24. After interview, and “a couple day” became a couple months, I finally got rejected. Pretty unethical. Unsure they tried to consider my admission or not. Honestly, this messed up all of my personal schedules.
Dear LSD members, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude for the wonderful conversations we’ve had as a group. The discussions we’ve had have been thought-provoking, insightful, and engaging, and I have truly appreciated the opportunity to learn from all of you. It’s been a pleasure to be a part of this group, and I am constantly amazed by the diversity of perspectives and experiences that are represented here. Your contributions to the conversations have been invaluable, and I believe that we’ve all grown as a result of our interactions. I look forward to continuing these conversations in the future and exploring new topics together. Thank you all for your thoughtful contributions and for creating such a welcoming and stimulating environment. Best regards, 2E2E
