In regards to getting WLd at UVA:
Many people are surprised that I was WLd at UVA when people with much better numbers have been straight rejected. I wanted to give some insight as to why I may have held through (I will update as I try to convert the WL to an A - either way I will update with my strategies)
UVA was my top choice - it always has been and will be. I do feel I short changed myself on the LSAT - had I done a bit better I believe I could’ve gotten in.- I EDd to force a decision - this was a must - I couldn’t wait until April to hear, and I also wanted to send a signal to UVA Admin.

• I had a UVA-specific LOR from someone who could speak to my abilities at UVA law.
• “Why UVA?” - highly specific - highly personal - but always speaking about the connection to UVA, not talking about myself.

In regards to my first two As and the quick turnaround:
I applied to Georgia because I knew I was in the sweet spot LSAT-wise and saw that they send out admissions weekly.- Georgia was my first A, and it changed my admissions strategy immediately

• W&M - I love W&M and grew up spending my summers in WBurg. I wrote a decent but not gushing “Why W&M?”
• The 4-day turnaround from completion is unexplainable - this cycle seems “normal,” if not even slow, for W&M.
• I haven’t seen a single other applicant that had that fast of a turnaround, and I cannot point to what that could be. My LSAT is pretty high for them, but my uGPA is atrocious.
• If I had to point to some things:
  My LORs were from individuals at peer schools in the region, and I know they were strong.
  Va Native - did all my schooling in VA - currently do volunteer work for two state-level organizations.

  This is a great example of taking your time when you aren’t ready for Law School - I applied to W&L in 2017 and was rejected. Of course I was; I had the same GPA and a 149 LSAT.

Well, a few things:
I went and had a short career- Did some crazy stuff abroad and in graduate school

• Increase my LSAT by 20 points - though I only studied eight months so it wasn’t a real R&R
  Now - I applied six years later - and got in with a great chunk of change and plan on negotiating for more
