Memes:
Congratulations! Thanks to your hard work and impressive credentials, you will be awarded a Sandra Day O’Connor Scholarship if admitted to New England Law | Boston. This prestigious award covers full tuition for your law school career—worth more than $152,000—and renews yearly as long as you are enrolled and remain in good standing. I am eager to consider you for admission to New England Law Boston, so I have extended our priority scholarship deadline until March 1 just for you.
Welcome to LSD, where we dissect and analyze the law school admissions that have destroyed our minds like dementia did to Ronald Reagan
Advice:
This process sucks. Even if you get into the school you want, it’s going to suck.
Remember this process is not an indication of who you are as a person. I know it feels incredibly vulnerable to offer yourself up to these people for repeated judgement, especially when it has such an impact
It’s like trying to make a friend who blatantly tells you no, and then also says you don’t get the job. But that is not an indication of you, it is a testament to the flaws in the process.

Advice from deans:
Once you’re above the 75th, being more above doesn’t matter much - UNC Dean
Apply earlier, it could be the difference between a A and a WL. I didn’t but I wish I had.
You can get money off the WL, just depends on the school and what they have.
Admissions aren’t here looking to see who is who.
What I did:
Applied late (don’t do that)
Wrote a Why x/supplemental essay for every T20 school I applied to (except Texas they didn’t want one). If I care enough to give them a minimum of $45, I should be able to care enough to find a reason to want to go there.
For WLs, most of them I responded as soon as I got it thanking them for the spot (bleh). Close to deposit deadlines I let them know I was still interested. For GULC I told them I’d go if admitted, regardless of scholarship. I think that pushed me over the edge as I got in the next week. I plan on doing PI and with their LRAP that makes it much more manageable, plus I had savings already.
