EMAIL SCHOOLS AND ASK FOR CAS FEE WAIVERS!!! They can be incredibly helpful in widening your net. A majority of schools will say no, but that doesn’t mean you can’t also get a few to say yes.

So far, I have received a CAS waiver (solicited) from:

Brigham Young University (chose not to apply)
Cleveland State University
Seton Hall University
Case Western Reserve University
Duquesne University
Drake University
Baylor University
University of Wisconsin
University of Virginia
University of Cincinnati
Washington University in St. Louis (applied directly through the school’s application, not through LSAC. LSAT Redacted.)
Arizona State University (unsolicited/solicited) (I asked for a CAS waiver long ago and they said it was reserved for those who attended certain events. A few weeks later I received an email saying that they had applied a CAS waiver to my account. It caught me completely off guard as I had not attended any event.)

University of Utah (granted under a “limited pilot program.”)
William & Mary
Ohio Northern University
IU Maurer

Obviously, a lot of these schools I have no chance at, but if it is free, why not apply?
