ChineseFood's wisdom

I quickly understood given my low GPA, my LSAT score was going to be my only saving grace. I was an idiot in college and am kicking myself for making life alot more difficult.

My application journey took me 2 years, I started studying for the LSAT in July 2023. I took the LSAT 5 times total. After 4 tries and my highest score not breaking 150, I lost hope that the LSAT was learnable or that I could ever get better at it. I had Powerscore, 7sage, and Group tutoring, nothing worked for me. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result. I applied with my sub-150 score and got denied from the worst accredited law school in CA twice in Fall 2024 and Spring 2025.

With my 5th LSAT attempt being my last shot, I took all of 2025 to study for October exam. I found an awesome tutor in March 2025 at a premium and got to work. I found my learning style and grew an appreciation for detailed puzzles that LR really is. I took the October 2025 LSAT and got a 164 :)

I did not expect my journey to go exactly like this, but it did workout for the better. If I got accepted by the worst accredited law school in CA in 2024, I would have paid sticker for a subpar education with subpar resources. After the grind, I am now accepted to my dream regional school with having to pay a little in comparison out of pocket. I also did not pay for a single application this cycle, and there are ways to avoid paying. I personally could not justify paying anymore than $45 just to get denied.

I learned from all of this is that if you want something bad enough you have to do everything you can to get it. I have talked to so many people who wanted to do law but never made it due to one reason or another. I have also heard that a reason for the extreme difficulty of the LSAT is partially to weed people not committed to the grind.

If I can do it, there is hope out there for those willing to put in the work.

I wish you all the best of luck.
