Try not to go insane. Study early and study hard for the LSAT. Have a rock-solid study routine. Don’t study full-time, though; losing all external structure in your life can be very destabilizing. Don’t be afraid to say no to higher-ranked schools in order to stay close to loved ones. Apply broadly. Take at least one gap year; taste-test other careers, other parts of life–it’ll make you more resilient and more sure. Remember why you’re doing all this; if you don’t know, find a good reason or do something else.
