CAS updated on 2/9 with new 3.95 GPA, all decisions made after this date had this new GPA on file. Only a .01 difference so probably didn’t make a difference.

Lots of leadership positions on campus, research positions & published article, regular degular on-campus job

Would definitely say that I had a consistent narrative throughout every aspect of my application. Spent a lot of time on PS and resume to make sure everything told a story.

Did NOT write a diversity statement; however, my personal statement touched on elements of diversity (race & class background). Don’t beat yourself up if you can’t think of anything to write for a diversity statement, I really don’t think it hindered me at all by not having one.

The only optional essay I wrote was a Why Duke. I did include Why X’s at the end of every personal statement though (made sure it flowed and had genuine reasons).
