Don’t pay attention to rankings. Focus on employment outcomes in the region you want to live! If you’re still in undergrad and KNOW you want to go to law school switch majors and take the easiest classes possible.

If you took dual enrollment in HS (and it won’t help your GPA— if they do help you’re a try hard dork) don’t report those classes to CAS unless they reach out to tell you they can’t generate your CAS CumGPA without them. I can only imagine if I’d known to switch my major to something easy/obsess over GPA and get a 4.0. My advisor told me a 3.76 would be competitive for grad school, and then it was further pulled down by dual enrollment credits that I never imagined would be factored in an “undergraduate” gpa.

That’s just what I get for going to school to learn and not solely fixating on my GPA. My fault, how idealistically naive of me.

More venting: this whole process was a pain in the fucking ass. Being smart enough to study a few months and get a 165 LSAT (88-90 percentile score) SHOULD mean easy admission to many T50 schools, but it’s not good enough anymore.

Ban using CumGPA in law school admissions.
