Would classify myself as a 3.5 softs, I have won a national student writing competition for a sustainability policy paper. I already have an MPA and have been working in government work for 3 years.

My Schools GPA was on a 4.0 scale and while my undergrad GPA was not good on paper I still graduated with honors. This is the downfall of going to a program that does not arbitrarily inflate grades. I am in the honor society for my MPA and graduated with honors and recognition. None of this helped. I got 3 recommendations, one from a grad professor and two professional.

Some background on my cycle in general. I decided mid-July 2020 that I would be applying to Law School. I studied for, took the LSAT, wrote essays, and submitted all my applications within 6 months of that decision. I would not recommend this for anyone else. I took the LSAT twice but because of tech issues had to cancel my first score without seeing it and retake. MY 168 was my only score on record. I wrote why X essays for all T14 schools but Columbia.

At the end of the day my one A is not what I was expecting or hoping for, but I’m going to get a J.D. which is all that matters. If circumstances were different and I had decided on Law School even one month before I think that my results would have been different. I am considered a transfer application depending on how 1L goes.
