I definitely could be doxxing myself, but I’d like to be helpful. Mind you, comparison is the thief of joy.

I graduated in 2022 and wanted to go to law school (hence the poli sci second major). Long story, but I decided to attend a PhD program in biology instead. I hated the lab and wasn’t a fan of academia in general, so I mastered out (microbiology). I’ve worked as a teacher full time for about 1.5 years.

I leaned into my STEM background (not sure if that was wise or not) because I’d like to work in science policy (or maybe intellectual property). I struggled with the LSAT more than I expected. I wanted to do better, but I scored 161 three times and decided to call it quits. I did much better in the practice exams, but the stress of test-day and the time pressure seemed to have gotten to me.

I submitted far and wide, doing all optional essays and pre-recorded video interviews. I reused some of my essays but also wrote probably 10 unique essays in total. Every school I applied to was intentional– I didn’t throw out a reach school “just to see” (I didn’t have the money to do that). The “safeties” I applied to were all schools I’d be happy to attend if I did not get in anywhere else. I’ll update as decisions come in.
