GorgeousRichAvatar's wisdom for future generations
  • Study no less than 10 weeks for LSAT - I recommend the book the LSAT trainer.
  • Do your absolute best to take the August LSAT, so if you have to take it again you can next take the October or November one, since by the time the August scores are released the registration for the September test will be closed.
  • Start working on your PS early enough so you have the first version by September. Let it sit a week or two and review. Make 2 versions, 2 pages and 3 pages. Your motivations for a particular school should be the last paragraph, so that it is the only thing you have to modify from school to school. Yes, make that paragraph different, do not cut and copy another school name. Include the unique reasons why that school is attractive to you.
  • Request your LORs no later than July. Try your best to have 4 or more people you asked for recs in case a recommender turns their too late or not at all.
  • Attend as many webinars and events as you can for your target schools. Not only would you learn more about them, you’d show you’re genuinely interested. While at those events, pay attention. Do not ask something already answered (or asked by someone else) and do not ask something for which the answer is readily available online (unless you are asking for clarification). Be on time!
  • Good luck! 🍀
