UGA acceptance
i would greatly attribute my acceptance to my softs and to the fact that i applied ED as a URM that is way under their medians- my PS was about how i found myself by finding my passion for law and how my struggles with self-confidence were shaped by that. one paragraph was dedicated to why UGA and one paragraph was dedicated to why law. but i really let them know about me and my journey in the first part of my PS.

• wrote a diversity statement
• gpa and lsat addenda
• also made up for my undergrad GPA with a 3.62 grad GPA
• double dawg, got my bachelor’s degree from uga in political science and currently finishing my grad degree from uga. this might have helped bc it showed that I clearly had uga as my top choice for all degrees.
• mentored 2 undergrads for about 2 years
• lots of volunteering experience
• KJD, one internship experience at a nonprofit organization
• my suggestion if you are under medians, is to have very strong softs and apply ed.
• also had a connection from someone who works at the law school who spoke to the folks in admission on my behalf
• apply no later than November if you are under medians and that goes for any law school. I actually suggest applying in September or October but I was late because I took the October LSAT
