Interstellar-Thinker's wisdom

Background: I graduated very early and took the LSAT a couple of times without studying. In hindsight, this decision was idiotic, and I was just very young to understand this. My highest LSAT score reflects an improvement in studying. My work situation and issues at home still limited this studying, so I wasn’t able to go above 150. I took the LSAT 5 times within the 5-year given period, as I was not wholly aware of the changes LSAC had made at the time regarding test policy.

I plan on doing a Master’s degree to strengthen my resume and have something productive and enjoyable to do as I wait out that five-year period, which should be by the time I graduate. Once that occurs, I intend on improving my LSAT study methods before I give it another go.

Strategy for 21-22 Cycle:
Wrote every addendum/statement possible (LSAT, GPA addendum + diversity statement).- I often wrote optional essays as well.

  • Post-graduation work experience includes blue-collar work, and currently teaching AP-level courses.
  • 21/22: I decided not to attend, as a different program offered a fellowship opportunity I could not say no to.

I hope that this shows everyone, especially first-gen Hispanics such as myself, that it is possible to be accepted and attend law school or any program you want. SHOOT YOUR SHOT!

Side note: USE REDDIT. I regret not going on there when I first started taking the LSAT. Now I know what to do for future reference. It also helped me a lot during this application cycle.
