Soft tiers are pseudoscience. It’s not as much about having standout outstanding softs as it is about knowing how to work it together into a story. Your job isn’t to outshine every person in the applicant pool, but to make the specific people who are reading your application like you as a person slightly more than others. It’s subjective, and that’s the point—that’s why they’re softs. It’s not quantifiable or objective. You can’t sort them into tiers.
