My PS focused on some very personal reasons for ‘Why law’. I attempted to be vulnerable and show how I overcame adversities throughout my teens to put myself in a position to apply for law school. However, looking back on it, I may have overshared and created some red flags. If there were optional essays, I took the opportunity to write them (except for DS because I thought my PS addressed it).

During college, I worked full-time as the manager of a restaurant, department tutor, and tons of random odd jobs during the summers. I also interned at a small policy researched company during my junior year summer. I was on the exec board of my fraternity for 2 years as well.

Keep your head up. As you can see by my decision dates, I received 4 rejections and a WL in a two week period. When I first attempted to negotiate with Baylor, I was told they were out of money and would consider me after the deposit deadline. Between Baylor, Miami, and UTK, each school would have cost me around 150k. I was looking for a job to justify R&Ring. A week after Baylor had told me they were out of money, they offered me a full ride. I cannot be confident where the money came from or why I was selected, but it picked me up from a low point. It will work out in the end.
