Jordan-D: I’ll be attending Stetson - Full Time Spring 2026 Cohort (so my dot is probably on the wrong graph fyi). I applied for full time this fall (around March 14th, I believe) and was waitlisted. On Aug 22nd, I was informed of the opportunity for the Spring Cohort that I didn’t even know existed - for approximately 30 Full-time students. They asked if I was interested and wanted a response by August 27th. A few days following my expressed interest, I was sent the admitted email.
Random thoughts at 11pm: I am genuinely curious if the “Big Beautiful Bill” changes to loans will cause universities to lower tuition rates moving forward or if they will keep them about the same and students will just have to figure it out. If they remain the same, it will definitely be a benefit to take this off-beat Spring Cohort to lock in loans as they stand now. But if they are lowered and I locked in higher tuition prices . . .that’ll hurt. Spring Cohort also has a drawback given that the off-beat cycle will mean that this cohort would not have those summer 1L internship opportunities as far as I know.
But with that being said, I am very thankful for the opportunity and graciously accept.
