First generation Mexican Immigrant. Family fled Mexico when I was 5 due to a cartel violence. Lower middle class and first in family to attend college in the US. Attended a small CSU and double majored in English and Philosophy

Tier 3 softs: 3 years working at a literary journal (1 year as a junior editor, 1 year as senior editor / lead designer, 1 year as editor in chief), student in Honors college, published author, presented at an honors capstone conference.

Self studied for the LSAT over the course of quarantine–about 2 hours per day, 5 days a week. Used Powerscore LG Bible and LR Bible, Khan Academy, LawHub practice tests, and Powerscore LG workbook. Diagnostic score was 152; PT’d between 165-169 a week prior to taking the LSAT and scored a 174. Didn’t study for RC but read dense literature daily (Gass, Pynchon, Gaddis, Bolano, Krasznahorkai, etc.)
