About & Wisdom

JupiterRising's wisdom

Supersplitters listen up. If I can do it, you can. Undergrad doesn’t define you, we all had our reasons for why we didn’t perform to our potential. 1. The most important piece of advice is to get distance from your undergrad GPA. 2. Get valuable work experience (doesn’t have to be in law). 3. Study hard for the LSAT, get above the 75th percentile for your target school. 4. Write an honest GPA addendum and one that shows how you have learned from your experience/how you are different now 5. In your essays show your resilience, hard work, and determination in life & to pursue your dreams of law school. 6. If you get waitlisted, send LOCIs every month and try to have valuable updates, and then later in the summer send short ones every 3 weeks (unless you have major updates), and then near mid-July/August every 1.5-2 weeks is okay to send a short continued interest reminder. 7. Believe in yourself and your dreams. Don’t give up. Remember, you are worthy and your past performance doesn’t define your future potential and capability. As long as you’re serious about going to law school and it’s your passion, and you get that LSAT, with enough perseverance and hard work, you will make it.
