Stay delusional (within reason)! There’s only one you applying! Always shoot your shot, but have a backup plan (and backup plan to your backup plan, because you can never be too safe).

Reddit is a scary place. Don’t let it get to you, and for the love of all things good in this world, PLEASE STAY OFF OF IT (easier said than done, though).

Remember, you are unique, and a 160+ is a score that so many people would love to have. You are above average! (I would’ve loved to get even one more point on my LSAT).

I worked really hard on my personal statement, and I’m proud of how it turned out. There were so many ways that I wanted to tell my story, but I settled on the one that ultimately felt true to me, even if it was a struggle to write at times.

Do the optional essays for the schools you are truly excited about (if they offer them). It’s worth it, and it shows that you care and actually want to go there. Even if you get rejected from a school that you wrote an optional essay for, at least you know that you did everything that you could and won’t have any “what ifs.”

The application process can be grueling, especially if you have a job and other commitments outside of law school. Try to divide and conquer so that you don’t burn out and slack on your written materials. For example, I made sure to take the LSAT before application season, so I wasn’t trying to work full time, study, write my essays, and apply to schools all at once. That would’ve been too much for me, but only you know your limits. Don’t take on a workload that you can’t handle, because that will reflect in your application. Put your best foot forward, give yourself grace, and do things at your own pace! You might be pleasantly surprised with how your cycle turns out. Good luck!
