My advice is threefold:

Retake the test: a few more points could make the difference between a waitlist and an admission, or a scholarship over sticker price.
Keep your expectations low: This is a long, slow process full of high and low points. Try not to go crazy. Decisions will come. It’s just going to take months.
3.Lastly, understand that you will be fine at the end of this process. If you have to take a year off, do it. I did and I was better off because of it.
