Wisdom
Never back down, never give up eeehhhhhhh-mazing. For the dream, the stream and the EH-Team.
When I got my LSAT score I cried, I was PT-ing in high 170s but had a panic attack the night before and got a 168 with 3 hours of sleep. I got immensely depressed after taking the LSAT a part of my identity was ripped from me. It was too late in the cycle for a retake (I took November LSAT and was working full time at an intensive job). I felt like a failure to my family, friends and spouse.
Despite this I really wanted to go to law school in the fall it was a goal I set for myself. I went into this cycle expecting to attend a T-50-T-20 and being a big fish in a small pond.
I still shot my shot at some T-14s and I got into my top choice, Berkeley (I got the result on my birthday, best gift of all time). I wrote all essays for Berkeley and all the schools that I applied to. My personal statement and essays were very intertwined with my work experience and what I want to do with a JD I have clearly defined goals.
If you are still reading this here are some tips:
Don’t have a panic attack the night before your LSAT
Your LSAT score does not define who you are or where you will go to law school. Holistic admissions is apparently a thing
I am proud of you. Applying to law school is a huge step, getting into law school is a huge accomplishment.
Study for your LSAT like your life depends on it, even though it does not.
Genuinely never give up. It sounds stupid but listening to motivational talks by people like David Goggins was a boon for my confidence while studying for the LSAT.
Have people you trust who are good writers review your apps and read as much as possible on the internet about what you should write about for your statements.
If you get sad or upset look up videos and pictures of otters they are very cute.
Follow your dreams.
If you are still reading this feel free to PM me happy to talk.
