A few notes on what helped me the most when building my applications:

1. Communicate with the pre-law advisors at your undergraduate institution, whether you are still in school or an alumni like myself. They are (at least in my case) incredible sources of knowledge and support.

2. Invest in your future by purchasing LSAT prep materials and applying to many different schools. In the long run, the return on that investment is incalculable.

3. Be authentic and genuine in your application. I did not hide my politics or my passions, and I think that went a long way in showing that I truly care about the work that I want to pursue.
