• Apply early and isolate a compelling narrative through your application. For me, I talked about how a particular undergrad extracurricular cemented my desire to be an attorney.
• I think the strategic choice of my three recommenders really helped with this.
• Don’t hesitate to ask for fee waivers, negotiate offers, etc.
• I did not pay the application fee at any of my schools.
• I did pay the CAS profile fee at each of them
  Total Cost of Applications: ($195 + (9 schools * $45.00)) = $600.00- Also, don’t put up with sub-par service and responses from Admissions Departments/Offices.
• Many schools I applied to treated me like a number; others genuinely demonstrated the care and concern they put into reviewing my application materials and my decision.
• I almost immediately wrote off the former, as an inability to make prospectives feel wanted speaks volumes to how they’d treat those who have already matriculated.
• At one of my schools, admissions staff remembered my personal statement and discussed the content of one of my supplementals at an accepted students day 3 months later. This played a massive role in my decision-making.
