Start studying WAY before your LSAT! I only gave myself ~3 months, which was not nearly enough. Take it multiple times. I recommend taking it once early on in the process to get the test jitters out/down and then retaking later once you have a consistent PT score.

Request Fee Waivers! Most schools give them out, so it’s an easy way to save money during an expensive process. I saved ~$400 just by sending a few emails. Also ask for scholarship reconsideration. I saved another $3,000 with one form.

Only apply to schools that you can use for reconsideration or will attend. In hindsight, I shouldn’t have applied to half of the schools that I did. And don’t commit anywhere without visiting - a visit can reveal a lot about a school.

I’m obviously just waiting on an R from ND (which were reach schools anyway), but them not getting back to me before the deadline rubs me the wrong way. If I knew they had this sort of reputation I would not have applied. Update JUNE 4: Still no word from ND.
