PinkPossum's wisdom
please take the LSAT seriously. it is one of the most important factors in decisions. it will open so many doors and will lead to a less anxiety-inducing cycle. trust me…i saw this in real time. watching applicants get auto-admitted with a 169+ was so scary for me. do not apply until you get the absolute highest score you think you can.
i didnt do this. but i believe my outcomes were great. that being said, dont be afraid to shoot your shot! you never know. i think what got me through is my essays. take your time on them. WE is a boost. if i could do it all differently, though, i would take my lsat again. i didnt score what i was making in my PTs so i took a leap of faith. but i would’ve saved myself a lot of anxiety if i just waited. also, apply to as many schools as possible. with my GPA, i would’ve blanketed the t-20 w/ a higher score. so i repeat, study hard for the lsat!!
i submitted an lsat addendum to every school, but here are my specifics for some schools (i didn’t write a separate why X for any):
GULC: did the optional essay, chose the best advice one. did not interview. regular waitlist
Emory: applied ED and originally didn’t submit my addendum. then a couple months later, i submitted my addendum with an updated resume. still rejected.
UGA: was put on hold then got the A months later. they didnt want to release scholarship decisions until after seat deposit day unless i fully committed. i thought that was shady, so i ultimately withdrew.
WashU: did not redact any of my scores. got an ii right after i applied. with $$$$+, my mind was made up!
good luck yall, you got this!!
