Stats are not everything.

Went in to the cycle with UVA being my top choice. ED’d but was deferred to regular decision. Very unfortunate but what can ya do.
Next choice is/was GULC but I would be very happy with a Duke, Penn, UMich A as well.

Some facts about my application for context - 7 W’s on transcript (wrote an addendum). Consultant said that since my GPA is so high that admissions offices won’t think negatively about them. The consultant did say that if you have a lower GPA and a lot of W’s then it might come off as you were trying to save your GPA from dipping even further than it already had, so take that as you may.

I have some good adversity to write about as well as a good “why law” narrative. Grew up really poor, have quite a few family members and friends who are/have been incarcerated, worked with disadvantaged youth on bettering their future through education and physical activity as well as with special needs children and adults.

My college offers A+. Without them, my LSAC GPA would have maxed out at around 3.90. Instead, I was able to get it significantly higher than that (as I write this, it is a 3.96)

Took the LSAT 3 times - 166, 170, 172. First time was during the court case, so obviously I had a lot going on that blocked my focus before taking the test. Second time was after only 2 months studying. Third was right around my PT average. I never took a Practice Test. Just studied using the LSAT Demon.

Worked with Spivey for the 23-24 app cycle for help with C&F addendum, W’s addendum, Civil Suit addendum, etc. Consultant is great help, I don’t have a lot of confidence in the consultants knowledge just because they don’t give me any concrete answers to things. In hindsight, I’d recommend a consultant to someone who needs as much addenda work that I did.
