The best thing you can do with an awful UGPA is do well on the LSAT. Find your target school, research what the 75th percentile LSAT is and aim to beat it. Understand that schools may look at your application holistically, but they are still reporting only two metrics to the ABA: UGPA and LSAT. It also helps to have upward progression with your grades. I started with a .9 and flunked out, but I finished with two semesters on the Dean’s list and one on the Chancellor’s list.

Be patient and give yourself tons of grace. Most people never even sniff the law school app process. All things work out in their time, and one day you will look back at this stressful time as a fond memory.
