Don’t know if anyone wants to learn from me, but:

-Have a compelling, specific, reason to go to law school and articulate it clearly. I specified in my PS why I need a JD to accomplish my professional goals. Sounds obvious, but it’s easier said than done, especially in a huge pool of bright, talented, passionate, and driven applicants.
-On that note: you are entering a profession that is going to become an integral part of your identity. Demonstrating that awareness in your essays doesn’t hurt.
-I’m an unusual applicant, so I used a consultant. I think it helped.
-Write the additional essays.
-I had unusual life circumstances. If you do, don’t be afraid to dig deep and mentioned how they shaped you.
