Apply early! I think I got some waitlists that I would not have gotten had I not applied early September, given my stats. Also, get started early! Having everything ready to go before applications even opened reduced my stress a lot throughout the process.

I ultimately ended up choosing Emory because of the job outcomes. Despite its current downward trend in the rankings, I believe that it has the portability and reach across the country to get me where I would like to be and a lot of opportunity in my concentration of interest. Also, I loved the location! Lots of nature on campus and in the surrounding areas, but just close enough to the city to have access to all of the opportunities that reside there.
