Start drafting your application materials EARLY!!! There will always be unexpected bumps in the road during the application process which will slow you down, and you want to start the process well before your intended submission date.

In hindsight, my two biggest takeaways were that I wish I had:

1. applied to more schools
2. applied earlier

If you’re waitlisted at your target school(s), don’t give up, and make sure to write Letters of Continued Interest! Use resources online to help you with this. One tip I have is don’t be afraid to tell a school straight up that if they admit you off the waitlist, you will for sure attend (but only if you mean it).
