IGNORE USNWR RANKINGS, LOOK AT 509 EMPLOYMENT REPORTS/LAWSCHOOLTRANSPARENCY/NALP INFO

Dropped out of college, joined the Army, finished the degree but couldn’t rescue the GPA.

Applied in 2020 with a 166, rejected everywhere except UGA, retook in 2021 and hoping a 171, reworked application materials, applying earlier in the timeline, and a new LOR help.

The military, or any other service program (TFA, Americorps etc) is something I’d recommend anyone thinking about law school at least consider before beginning the application process. I learned a lot about myself, my strengths and weaknesses, and how to work with all kinds of people from different backgrounds. Getting paid to do stuff with my friends was a great time too, and the veterans benefits available after service are incredible.
