Tron3 '20–'21 app cycle Class of 2024 class year

I chose to apply to these schools because they mostly fit into these descriptions: moderate class sizes, reasonably robust support for tax and business law, and not in Chicago, NYC, LA, or SF (trying to avoid extremely expensive areas and major metros). I also have a spouse who will be working which restricted potential schools to a degree (e.g. Cornell, in Ithaca, would be a difficult place for her to find a job in her field).

On my applications I wrote most optional essays and felt that my personal statement was fairly impactful. I had three letters of recommendations from professors and supervisors who I know quite well. My undergad was a large public flagship university in the Great Plains and I had four majors (not the most challenging place). I also have two years of work experience in non-profit policy advocacy.
