Reapplicant; accepted a non-binding deferral at Duke in May 2021. My 2020-21 cycle is recorded under the username LsatTraintoClarksville.

Advice for future applicants:

Don’t be KJD unless absolutely necessary- . Most of the below advice hinges on having a longer runway to prepare for law school. I’m glad I took time to work, and not just because (as a splitter) it probably improved my admissions outcomes.

• Don’t take the LSAT until you’ve reached your peak in practice. It’s not worth rushing into.
• Learn as much as possible about your intended career path before you even apply to law school. It’ll do a lot to quell anxiety over getting into this or that particular school.
• If you’re going to apply in the fall of a given year, ask for letters of rec by the end of June. Write a first draft of your personal statement by then too, so that the PS is completely done by mid-August and you can start writing optional essays then.
