Vfam '20–'21 app cycle Class of 2024 class year

Going for T14 or <75K debt load AFTER COL. Fee waivers due to military service. Using GI-Bill for 3 semesters but not with Yellow Ribbon so state schools are more of an option for me. Using Spivey Consulting for DS/PS/CF/Resume and a shell Why X which I personalized and sent to probably half of the schools. Hired Spivey mostly for assistance on what to say re CF issues, I would had said way too much on reflection.

Ended up deciding on Notre Dame. It’s fairly prestigious and will set me apart from my peers in the Kansas City / Wichita market. Luckily I should graduate with between $55,000 and $70,000 in debt. The alumni I have spoken to, 10 or so, have had nothing but great things to say.

UPDATE: If you’re military and don’t have 6 semesters worth of GI-Bill remaining ask about adjusting scholarship disbursement dates. ND was willing to give my 30K/yr scholarship as 30K for the first three semesters. I’ll use my GI-Bill for the last three semesters. Effectively making my debt load ~20K over three years. A $35K phone call!
