WindBuffalo's wisdom
Notes:
Do everything, (Keep good grades, study LSAT, join clubs, and get internships). I wish I kept my grades up, but having these other EC’s, helps tremendously- Try Teach For America Ignite if you don’t want to commit to a 2 year TFA contract. I have now taught/tutored in San Antonio, Texas and Tulsa, Oklahoma all without leaving home. It also is like 30-45 mins a day.
- Volunteer/Intern at your local courthouse, I guarantee your court administration needs help with Criminal, Civil, and Family law.
- Get Leadership positions.
- WRITE FOR A PAPER. I was a part of the inaugural class for FSU Poli Sci review. I also had a paper published by a small Marxist website. I’m sure getting anything out there is helpful.
- Take a law class in Undergrad and get a letter of rec. I got one of my letters of Rec from an adjunct, who went to U Chi Law and argued in the Supreme Court. These professors will write amazing letters due to their knowledge of Law School and their resume.
- Write a GPA Addendum, LSAT Addendum, and a Letter of Diversity. Even if it doesn’t help your chances, it does help your state of mind because you tried your best.
- Apply earlier than me, you will be better off. I did early February
- Don’t get Copypasta’d in chat, that shit blows
- All unmarked decision dates were before March 20th
