WomanlyGentleGoat's wisdom

Target Markets: Houston, DC, Chicago

Applied to Emory, GW, UT, Cornell, Vandy in late February last year, which was griefing myself given ho the cycle played out. Outside of UT and GW, I picked schools that I didn’t love but thought I had an outside shot of getting in to, so I wouldn’t have to recreate a new PS for this cycle.

3.4/169
A- Emory 118/3
WL - UT, GW, Vandy
R - Cornell

Retook January LSAT this year for 171.
Last 6 PTs (most recent last): 172, 176, 171, 172, 178,176
WL at BU came came through 2 days before the new LSAT score.

I only applied to schools for which I was at or above the 75th LSAT, with such a hypercompetitive cycle and inflation last year and this, I didn’t want to waste my money.
GPA addendum for personal reasons. Thinking about sending a late flyer to Vandy, since they have a late deadline but am hoping to hear from UT/NDLS this next week before doing that.

UT is my first choice by far, I would love to clerk/practice in Texas post-graduation. Invited to interview and held for regular decision, UR again on 1/20.

Notre Dame is my second choice, it's a great school with fantastic culture that punches well above its rank.

GW is generous with money and does well in my second choice market. I love DC and would love to be there for 3 years. However, I would likely try to transfer during 1L if I end up going. Will go if no NDLS or UT.

Boston U is simply because I figured it was a T20 that was realistic. I don't really want to practice in Boston, and the school is stingy with money, but it would be better than nothing.

WUSTL is a very good school but doesn't really align with my goals. Applied for the same reasons as BU.

UF is my super-safety. Miami Biglaw would be an acceptable outcome, but it's simply too limiting to be a realistic option. Would likely R&R if this is my only option, at least would attempt to transfer. They declined to increase scholarship offer with higher LSAT.

UT > All, even at sticker

WUSTL > NDLS > BU for same money

BU/WUSTL > GW for same money, but GW will almost certainly give more

GW > UF
