WoozySaltyWeasel '22–'23 app cycle Class of 2026 class year

Applying for law school after graduating a year early in 2021 with a degree in political science. I took my first LSAT in August 2022, retook it in October and scored 165. Was debating on taking the LSAT once more in January but ultimately decided against it because I wanted to finish applying to schools before the end of November.

No extraordinary softs; Have been a private, self-employed tutor since high school and worked at a small non-profit for 2 years part-time as an administrative intern in terms of work experience. Extracurricular-wise, I was involved in a cultural club my entire time as an undergrad and worked up the rank to become a board member of the club.

Got three LORs in total, two academic and one professional. Applied with no specific end goal, am open to all fields of law with a vague interest in immigration law and health law.
In Hindsight:
I wish I had planned out my LSAT dates better and given myself more time for retakes, especially since I think I could have scored higher.- I wish I applied to fewer schools. I think I panic applied a lot, especially in the below T70 range.

Thought Process:

Going into this cycle, I knew I wanted to end up in Boston. Truthfully, for a while that mainly consisted of me thinking about BU or BC.

The more I researched into Northeastern though, the more the appeal grew.

Unfortunately, Northeastern does not do scholarship negotiations. They awarded me an extremely generous scholarship, but it felt weird to consider their schollie over the numerous full tuition offers I had received.

I ended up choosing Northeastern in the end though. In the end, I decided I cared a lot more about geographical location and the co-op program really drew me in.
