The life of the law has not been logic; it has been experience.

- Study as much as possible for the LSAT, and in detail. track the answers you are getting wrong and also the ones you are getting right and make sure you understand why they’re correct/incorrect
- Apply for/email schools for fee waivers! This process is extremely expensive and as a 1st gen law student + someone without a traditional pre-law academic background, it has been difficult to navigate.
- Make use of every possible resource you can to study– every free one if you can’t afford a prep course
- ^^That being said if you can afford a prep course, GET ONE!
- Attend info sessions/open houses/virtual events for the schools you want to apply to
- Reddit is a helpful place, but don’t get lost in there! This is a competitive education we are trying for and it can be a really discouraging place or really encouraging place.
[Ill add more notes here as I submit more applications, hear back, etc. I’ll try to add study materials I heard were good and what worked for me–this process should be accessible to everyone! If you’re seeing this, don’t give up :) ]
