take everything here and on reddit with a huge enormous grain of salt, and talk to real students/alums and admissions officers. literally no 0L knows what they’re talking about; this is all a chaotic mess of the blind leading the blind

with that being said and with the huge disclaimer that i also do not know what I’m talking about, here’s some stuff about me in case it helps:

T25 undergrad, public policy and foreign language double major- What I would guess are T2.5 softs (3 years in top consulting firm; relevant/competitive internships every summer and semester of college; AmeriCorps service; US Senate work; federal agency work; selective fellowship; exceptional amount of in-depth campus leadership experience; extensive volunteer experience; court-appointed advocate)

• Low-income rural background (this was central to my “why law” and was a narrative I carried through in all my written materials and interviews. My PS was at times risky, but I tried to be as honest and authentic as possible about my experiences - even against the advice of some advisors - and based on my results, I think it paid off)
• Did not write a DS
• Sent 4 LORs everywhere that allowed it (one from a former congressman)
• Wrote a GPA addendum (had a specific circumstance that affected grades)
• Took the LSAT four times, upward trend, did not write an addendum
• Wrote a “Why X” essay and other optional essays (where prompted) for nearly every school
