I wrote my personal statement about my aspirations to work on criminal law, due to my experiences as a young black woman growing up in an urban area, while witnessing violent crimes in my community. I also had a phenomenal resume that demonstrated a history of service and leadership, along with amazing softs and a high GPA from a well-known undergraduate program. I definitely think my passion, hard work, and emotional intelligence shined through my applications.
