don’t do what i did and wait until december to apply. work on your resume and personal statement and maybe even diversity/identity/optional statement in the summer. As soon as applications begin to open in September, read through the instructions and make a list of the optional essays and stuff that each school you’re interested in is asking for so you’ll have plenty of time to edit your personal statement and write some optional essays for each school (if you have something good to say).
