Apply early, and by early I mean before December but definitely before Christmas!!! I went through two cycles, one where I applied late (Feb/Mar) and one where I applied early/on-time (Oct/Nov). The second cycle was not only less stressful but I had so many more opportunities to apply to scholarships, to think through where I was applying, to visit places and do research, etc. There are places where you only have a chance for certain scholarships if you apply before a certain date, but that info isn’t easily visible! I am so glad I didn’t go after my first cyle and waited to do a full cycle. For some people applying late works, but if you can avoid it DO SO.
