Every human interaction in my life revolves around me gauging, with as much subtlety as possible, whether I can reliably refer to the rat from Ratatouille as Remy and trust that they’ll know who I’m talking about, or if I just have to call him Ratatouille in order to get my message across.

Thoughts I had upon each decision:

Virginia (WL - 28 Oct): whatever. only applied cus no supplementals and didnt even write a why uva lmfao- Georgetown (WL - 3 Dec): o shit o fuck lowest school i applied to waitlisted me??? at least i was on the super duper special thin waist fat ass hot girl waitlist tho

• Yale (R - 8 Dec): thinks of every dumb ass kid i know at YLS and reconciles that i am dumber than them while wondering wtf they did to get in whatever
• Harvard (R - 13 Jan): god dammit now i have to try to remember my high school tumblr password so i can go delete my bio that says “future graduate of harvard (obviously)” (i got WAITLISTED for undergrad smfh)
• Chicago (WL - 21 Jan): ok im not a COMPLETE dumbass at least
• Columbia (WL - 15 Feb): one year anniversary of the second worst day of my life and i cant even catch an A smfh
• Berkeley (R - 17 Feb): tipsy from marg nite @ work cus i got the email at like 10 pm uhh ok what the fuck?
• Penn (A - 10 Mar): one of the best days of my life. no jokes here. my mom sobbed harder than id ever seen her cry because she knew that this meant the world to me. my sister shrieked like a teenager seeing her favorite boy band. my dad, a quiet conservative man, said “holy fuckin shit.” this day changed my life and i will never forget the happiness, relief, euphoria, fulfillment, and appreciation i felt getting that call from the 215. felt like i was living a life worth living for the first time in like three years
• Northwestern (A - 11 Mar): lmfao maybe id give a f if i hadnt gotten into a better school two secs ago scrub
• NYU (WL - 13 Apr): i only feel emotions from decisions fom T6 schools lol
• Stanford (WL - 6 May): a true honor and pleasant surprise. i would love to attend but am thrilled just to know that my app was liked and held positive qualities, because my two supplementals were my two favorite essays and showed myself to the adcomms in a really meaningful way; im just so glad they felt even any connection
