jtzlaw's wisdom

If you have a top choice, let them know. Write a tailored personal statement and/or an optional essay to convey “Why (them)”. You’d be surprised how far expressing interest can take you.
Informal Interviews are often overlooked but awesome opportunities to humanize yourself and your application.
To my fellow Splitters/Reverse Splitters, you absolutely have hope. Schools who read applications holistically typically don’t let just 1 suboptimal factor outweigh an otherwise really stellar application.
When studying for the LSAT, don’t just take PT’s until you hit your target scores. I consistently scored 156-162 on upwards of 15-30 PTs but I still couldn’t muster more than a 154 on 2 attempts. Try to exceed your targets if possible even though doing so is far easier said than done.
Try to have at least 1 academic and 1 work/internship LOR.
Don’t be afraid to ask for fee waivers.
Law School admissions and everything that goes into it can be stressful but getting accepted makes everything worth it.
