Shoot your shot! Ultimately, I did not break into the T14 but I am proud of the acceptances I got, with some nice scholarship money to boot. Ultimately, I was choosing between WashU and Vanderbilt, and the money at WashU really swayed me as did it’s proximity to where I want to end up working.

Pretty run of the mill softs: Pre-law club president, Swing Dance Society president, Volunteer throughout undergrad at local pet shelter, have worked in same place (full time summers, part time school year) for 6 years with two promotions during that time.

Wrote a diversity statement: LGBTQ+
Wrote Why UChicago, Why UVA, Why Duke, Why Michigan and Why W&M.
Completed Kira interview for Northwestern.
Completed Alumni interview for Vanderbilt.
Completed admissions interview for WashU.
Submitted four letters of recommendation, all academic and one prof who also had me as an intern in his law office.

If I had to do it again, I might have taken the LSAT again. I PT’d around 171 leading up to my exam, but did not feel like taking the LSAT-Flex a second time would go really well. But then the cycle got crazy competitive and I regretted being a one-and-done LSAT taker. Still happy with where I ended up, but something to think about if you find yourself in such a situation.
