Apply early (pre-Thanksgiving) if your affairs are in order and it’s the best app you can give, craft some incredible essays, and bet on yourself. You are not doomed post-Thanksgiving though.

I did not apply to any more safety schools since UVA accepted me in September.
Find a trusted friend, professor, mentor, editor, consultant….just someone who knows you well and/or can provide strong feedback regarding your essays. You’re more than your numbers and I’m an example of that.
Regarding reddit, sift through the noise. It’s not a place to avoid necessarily if you simply research the admissions process online and listen to reputable podcasts. We’re the future critical thinkers of society…apply your thinking caps to that forum lol.
