This cycle for me was brutal. Decisions were released slower than expected and LSAT medians were being raised at top schools. One thing I learned—hang tight and do not panic. If you have quality stats and a solid app, schools will get back to you eventually.

When it came time to make a decision, I loved Northwestern except for the distance and the cold. Being that I am married, I did not want to uproot my wife. I was prepared to attend my alma mater, UCI, and chose it over Northwestern. I then got a waitlist interview request from UCLA Law. During the time in between I had attended the Waitlist webinar (they know if you attended it and mark it down) and had sent 3 LOCIs (1 per month). I did the interview and was accepted off the waitlist. UCLA offered me an incredibly generous scholarship and I withdrew from UCI.

I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Through family, friends, and trust in God, I found myself at a school that was the perfect fit for me. Being neurotic and anxious did nothing for me. Being calm and collected allowed me to shine through in the waitlist interview. After my 1st semester at UCLA, I feel grateful and privileged to be attending. Hope that you’ll find your way as well!
