I live in NYC, want to stay, and have public interest goals so NYU it is. staying on the Harvard waitlist just in case but it’s hard to imagine uprooting my life and taking on crazy debt for it at this point

my advice for future generations…write optional essays, have a compelling and genuine story if at all possible. do activities you actually like, take a job you might actually be interested in, go live your life and be an interesting person for the sake of it, not for the sake of an application. worked relatively well for me

and if you really want to go to WashU and use their free online application, consider sending them your letters of rec. I never got around to it lol
