Note about low GPA: I had a 2.4 GPA my freshman year, then roughly a 3.9 across my last 3 years. I wrote a strong addendum that I think explained this as well as possible. That said, I’m not sure how sympathetic schools were to my story. I’m a KJD so this only happened 2 years prior to me sending my applications. It can be hard to show significant growth in that time, so I would’ve benefitted from a few years of distance from my GPA. Also, I went to a top 20 undergrad known for grade inflation (over HALF of all graduates from my school leave with a GPA over 3.9… lol) so I’m not sure they really cared much.

Note about fall grades: For the first half of the cycle my GPA was 3.40. On December 22, I notified all of the schools where I was pending that I expected my GPA to increase to 3.53 after receiving my fall semester grades. On January 4, my updated transcripts were processed by LSAC and that GPA change became official. However, one of my fall semester professors input my final grade incorrectly, entering a B instead of an A. This was finally corrected on my transcript in early February, and my LSAC GPA increased from 3.53 to 3.54 on February 8.
